Source Engine Versions

Although the Half-Life² Beta (Leak)’s Source engine is a lot older than the Retail Half-Life² Source engine it is the oldest version of the Source engine available to the public. There is only one other Source engine that falls close to the Half-Life² Beta (Leak)’s Source engine and that is the version of the Source engine used in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

The Half-Life² Beta (Leak) Source engine is "Source Engine 2 (build -4) days until 9/30/03"

And Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Source engine is "Exe version 0.27.0 (protocol 1) Build: Dec 2 2004 16:11:45 (466)"

There was a Beta version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines that probably had used an older Source engine closer to the Half-Life² Beta (Leak)’s engine. Here are some pics from the that Beta:
